Welcome to Expanded Environmentalism. Our aim is to offer a platform that contemplates and responds to our embeddedness within the more-than-human world. The more-than-human world is not just the non-human world or the environment "out there" but rather the continuum of life that includes humans, non-human life, and perhaps even phenomena not typically considered alive in the conventional sense.

Like all life forms, Expanded Environmentalism is constantly evolving. At this point, the platform offers speculative essays on the more-than-human dimension, interactive (applied learning) exercises, media recommendations, and project updates from its founders, André and Shannon Silva. As we grow, we intend to expand the conversation to include interviews and highlighted content from a growing and diverse body of artists and thinkers who complement the Expanded Environmentalism mission.
